Wooden Soil retaining walls. Does anyone know how to install a Wooden soil retention wall? - retention wall blocks
I'm installing a retaining wall that, at the corner of my house, 12 'then extends into a hill at about 45 degrees form. The base of the candle will start only 2 "are engraved on the base and grow more as a necessity in the top of the slope. The wall is 4" high when completed. I know that I need for proper drainage. I will use a perforated pipe and gravel. Has anyone any advice? Can I use 4x4, 4x6 or 6x6 boards? Can I fill it with earth or other materials should I use? I find a good site for this block of wood walls. Please help.

Drill holes 3 / 8 "to 1 / 2 length of about 3 by 8 feet, and remain, the use of steel beams of the same size on the floor and join them.

Few people use wooden beams, as in the past because they rot.
They can help themselves and for geogrid to the earth, which can be used with wood.
